Sound of Manh Tre
cyanotypes
Sound of Manh Tre consists of two cyanotype photograms of hanging Vietnamese bamboo screens. These screens, made of very fine strips of bamboo fibre, are traditionally hung in doorways. During the paper’s exposure to sunlight, the breeze created patterns of varying intensity.
Sound of Manh Tre was exhibited in A Matter of Time: 16th Tamworth Fibre Biennial, curated by Suzi Attiwill in 2005.
